Overview

The project involves a comprehensive transformation programme to refurbish and alter a newly acquired building, realigning units to create ensuite rooms, adjusting communal areas, and constructing extensions to flat roof spaces.

These works increase capacity to 230 student accommodation units across three buildings ranging from six to eight storeys. These will be delivered in two distinct phases under BSA scope.

BSN are undertaking a full internal refurbishment, including structural alterations to form cluster suites and ensuite bedrooms, alongside significant fire protection works.

External upgrades include a rooftop extension, removal of existing cladding, installation of new insulation, and careful refitting of panels to modernize energy efficiency while maintaining the building’s aesthetic.

Outcome

The programme is successfully delivering increased capacity and modernized student living spaces, achieving compliance with fire safety standards and improved energy performance.

The phased approach is ensuring minimal disruption, providing high-quality accommodation aligned with client objectives.
