To support successful project delivery the project required delivery of meaningful social value outcomes. Rather than limiting our approach to traditional donations of time and money, we embedded social value directly into the project design, delivery and legacy. Despite budget constraints we proactively introduced sustainable enhancements that were not originally specified. These included a future-proofed heating system using air source heat pumps, proposed by our team, and the installation of roof insulation to existing areas. Although initially excluded from scope, we successfully secured its inclusion late in the programme, improving the building’s long-term energy performance.
